One Day. Endless Impact.
Every year, our community comes together for one powerful day of hands-on service. Day of Caring is where neighbors show up for neighbors — and where real change begins.
What is day of caring?
Day of Caring is United Way of Northwest Louisiana's signature annual volunteer event, and one of the most beloved days on our community's calendar. Each year, hundreds of volunteers from businesses, organizations, and neighborhoods across the region give a day of their time to local nonprofits who need an extra set of hands. From painting classrooms and sprucing up community gardens to sorting food donations and building playground equipment, the projects are as varied as the people who show up to do them.
It doesn't take a special skill set. It doesn't take experience. It just takes a willing heart and a few hours of your time. And what gets built, both in the community and between the people who serve together, lasts long after the day is done.
